Artist Statement for Isabelle Goldstein

I’m Isabelle Goldstein—Izzy to most.
Photographer. Abstract painter. Wearable art designer. business professional, and Mentor to artists on the business side of art.

But before any of that, I’m someone who had to fight to find herself again.

I’ve always been drawn to beauty—how it shows up in unexpected places, how it says what words can’t. Even when my world felt dark, I kept seeing light through the lens. I was always capturing moments, even before I knew that was part of my purpose.

But my story isn’t one of straight lines.
I spent years running from myself—pushing past limits, caught in cycles I couldn’t break.

Still, somewhere deep inside, a creative spark never went out. And in May of 2022, I gave myself one more chance to see what would happen if I followed it. I got honest. I chose a different path. And everything changed.

Since then, I’ve poured everything into building this path—through heartbreak, healing, and big leaps of faith.

I’ve shown my work in over a dozen exhibitions, created custom art for homes, coordinated art events, built a mentorship program for artists that has made dreams come true, and launched my first line of wearable art.

Now, I’m starting a new chapter in New York City—the city where most of my best photos were born before I even knew I loved photography. Where i always felt most inspired. This move feels like coming full circle.
