This striking triptych is crafted from a rare black redwood burl, believed to be nearly 2,000 years old, salvaged years ago in Aptos, California. Hidden away until recently, the burl was milled to reveal a mesmerizing inner grain — rich with deep reds, dark chocolate hues, and natural voids.
Each slab is mounted inside a minimalist black hardwood frame, polished to a high-gloss finish. As a special feature, each panel can be rotated and displayed in multiple directions — offering four distinct visual interpretations per frame, from abstract figures to geological forms.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime release — a dynamic artwork rooted in California’s ancient forest and presented with modern craftsmanship.
